NIGHT OF MILES AT THE PRE CLASSIC

Have you ever wanted to run a mile on Hayward Field under the lights? This is your chance!

The Prefontaine Classic invites fans and local running enthusiasts to the first annual Night of Miles at The Pre Classic on Friday, May 24 at Hayward Field.

Multiple heats will be offered at different goal paces, ranging from 6 minutes per mile to 20 minutes per mile pace (heats to be determined based off entries). The WaveLight pacing system will be set to a variety of paces. You will have the opportunity to put yourself in the group that best matches your goal finishing time. The WaveLights will also be set to the World Record and American Record paces if you want to experience how long you can keep up.

Heats begin at 8:30 p.m. Pacific time and will be seeded based on entry times. Heats will be run slow to fast, with the final heat beginning at 9:55 p.m. Pacific time.
